About
TowerNook started as a shared spreadsheet between three friends who kept arguing about which tower defence app was actually worth keeping installed. The arguments turned into notes, the notes turned into full write-ups, and eventually we put them online so we'd stop repeating ourselves in group chats.,We're not tied to any studio. Every game we cover is downloaded, played and sometimes deleted in frustration before we write a word. If a game is boring after the tutorial, we say so, and if a small indie tower defence surprises us, that gets said too.,Games get picked for the catalogue in a simple way. Someone on the team spends real time with a title — usually a week or more — then the others try it to check we're not just having a personal moment. Strategy and defence titles get priority, but we happily wander into RPGs, racers and casual stuff when they teach us something about pacing or difficulty.,The recent test that pulled a lot of us in was Sizzling Hot, a bright, quick arcade game we ended up passing around the office. More on that below.
